Not every concrete job starts from scratch. RB Concrete carries out concrete cutting on existing structures. We handle full site preparation before the pour using our own Kobelco 2T mini excavator and 3T tipper truck. Having our own equipment on site means faster turnaround and fewer contractors to coordinate.

We own a 2T Kobelco mini excavator and 3T tipper truck. That means we can handle excavation, spoil removal, and base preparation without waiting on separate earthworks contractors. This gives you one contact managing the whole job and generally results in a faster, more efficient process.
Can you work on both residential and rural properties?
Absolutely. RB Concrete works comfortably across both residential and rural environments. On the residential side that includes driveways, paths, patios, and house slabs. On the rural side it includes feed pads, farm yard areas, shed slabs, and lifestyle block driveways. The requirements for rural concrete are quite different from residential work, surface drainage, load-bearing capacity, and durability under heavy machinery all need specific consideration, and Burga has experience across both.
What is the difference between exposed aggregate and broomed concrete?
Exposed aggregate is created by washing back the surface of fresh concrete to reveal the natural stone aggregate beneath. The result is a textured, slip-resistant surface with a natural appearance that suits lifestyle blocks and properties with a rural or coastal aesthetic. It is one of the most popular driveway finishes in the Matakana area. Broomed concrete uses a stiff brush drawn across the surface to create a linear texture, which provides good grip underfoot and is a practical, cost-effective choice for paths, driveways, and utility areas.
